MINUTES FROM FOURTH ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING - AUGUST 17, 1991

MEETING OF TEACUP CHAINS SQUARE DANCE CLUB, INC. Saturday, August 17, 1991

The meeting was called to order at 10:15 PM at Off Broadway Dance Studio, 520 West 15th St., Edmond, Oklahoma by President Richard Cutter.

Pres. Cutter announced that the purpose of the meeting was to select a design for the club banner. He suggested a design which would be an enlargement of our club badge. Lowell's Place in Moore had advised that they could prepare a banner of plastic material size 21" x 36" for about $35.00. Discussion followed after which Slim Lawson moved that we have the banner prepared as an enlarged replica of our badges with dowel sleeve top and bottom and with caller's name. Motion was seconded by Sid Black. Motion carried.

Re Traveling Banner - Discussion was held concerning a traveling banner which be a miniature of the full size club banner. Herdy Moore moved that we purchase four traveling banners 18" width x 10½" height. Motion carried.

Richard Cutter asked for ideas for special events such as auctions, picnics, New Years Eve party. No action was taken but it seemed apparent that no one wanted to participate in a parade.

Bill Milner presented to those persons who remain members of Frontier Pride Club a letter addressed to the President of Frontier Pride asking for a meeting to determine the proper disposition of funds belonging to Frontier Pride membership. The letter was signed by a number of persons.

Richard Cutter repeated the dance format to be followed, ie: one hour of plus workshop from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM followed by six tips, being four mainstream tips and two plus tips. Slim Lawson moved and Velma Phipps seconded that we continue this format with the objective to be eventual classification of our club as a "plus club." Motion carried.

Andi Jones offered to prepare flyers to publicize our format.

Meeting adjourned at 11:05 PM.
